As the early fresh produce comes to market at various road side stands, the home grown and produced canned and preserved commodities also are available. Canned fruits and vegetables that rival any found in gourmet specialty shops are reasonable and in amazing variety. On a Sunny day, the ride and garage sale items are a treat, kind of like a giant flea market.
