Wow -- I helped a friend move out of The Westbrook this summer and some of her stuff was in the basement (long story) so we were walking around all through that area. At that time, the kitchen had been sitting vacant for a while and it looked like hell and totally stunk of grease. Looks like they've really turned things around. My friend's sister still lives there, which is how I got into the pre-opening preview I wrote about a few weeks ago.

Amaryllis sounds great, but I can't miss an opportunity to pump up The Coda. A group of us ate there for the first time under the new ownership recently and were VERY impressed.

If you have any interest in food it is definitely somewhere you should give a try. http://www.the-coda.com/

I have yet to try the new coda but i was very impressed w/ amaryllis. To start they have the best caesar salad i've ever had, the apps were incredible, and their wine list is fun and not to expensive. Every wine is available by the glass.

It is a great space w/ some incredible food.

    Try it for yourself
