Terminal Photo Submission

We've been running a Buffalo photo-submission series on BRO's Arts Channel, and over the last ten days or so we've seen some very thoughtful photos come in. Submissions have included pictures of the grain elevators, Shea's, and various downtown scenes. This morning I came across this photo taken by Michael Rebmann of the auto show that took place at the Central Terminal. Not only was the imagery cool, the note that was attached was informative. Plus, this was an event that I unfortunately missed... I will definitely catch this auto show in July.
In keeping with Buffalo Rising’s tradition of highlighting Buffalo’s magnificent architecture, I have attached a photo of the inside of the Buffalo Central Terminal. The photo was taken on July 22, 2006, during the Restore Buffalo fundraiser being held. I used an Olympus E-500 digital slr and combined 3 different exposures using photomatix software to create the high dynamic range effect. The resultant image brings out the detail of the wonderful floor and enables one to visualize what this building will look like when fully restored. -Michael Rebmann
All the floor really needs is to be stripped, sanded and buffed to a shine and it will look like new again. We do wash it regularly, but because the building is still stabilizing to its new state of dryness, it remains constantly dusty.
Mike Rebmann is a wonderful photographer, Ive been very impressed with his work..The Terminal is one of the most beautiful structures in Buffalo
