NLS Fundraiser This Thursday

Neighborhood Legal Services has provided free civil legal assistance to the poor, abused and disabled since the late 1970s.
This weekend the organization marks its 30th anniversary with a fundraising party from 6- 10 p.m, Thursday, Nov. 30, at The Church, 341 Delaware Ave.
Festivities will include music (Gospel, folk, Klezmer, a string quartet, Irish and rock), great food by Maura Crawford (of Le Metro, Muse and Sole fame) and by Wegmans, and a silent auction featuring work by some of the area’s best artists (Milton Rogovin, Michael Morgulis and Annie Adams among them).
“The event is eclectic, to say the least,” said Lisa McDougall, one of the organizers.
Proceeds raised will fund the ongoing efforts of NLS, a not-for-profit agency located in Buffalo, New York that provides free legal services to persons with low incomes and disabilities.
