CityMade, Inc.

CityMade is a corporation that is all about Buffalo. What started out a few years ago as a prosperous, moderately sized purveyor of Buffalo-themed gift baskets has blossomed into a full-scale distribution center located in one of Buffalo’s industrial parks.
The beautifully packaged Buffalo-themed baskets are still flying out the door. Not only are they available for purchase on their easy-to-use website, they are also distributed in all of Wegmans WNY stores. The yummy contents include our much loved Anchor Bar wing sauce, PJ’s Loganberry drink, Weber’s mustard, as well as many others. Among the many other things they offer are items like art, music, books, apparel, UB care packages and products featuring the Buffalo Bills logo.
Dramatically increasing the distribution of many of Buffalo’s products, as well as providing employment to a number of Buffalo citizens, is not their only contribution to our city.
Gift boxes featuring the Best of Rochester, Syracuse, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and the soon to follow New Jersey, are also designed and distributed by this company.
Other local businesses like Nano-Dynamics and Yardley London use their distribution center. They have also become the manufacturers and distributors of all of the gift baskets sold by Wegmans under the Wegmans name.
Perhaps instead of our “silver bullet” projects (i.e. Bass Pro, Signature Bridge) many smaller, innovative, niche companies and projects are the real means to achieving the prosperity that Buffalo so deserves.
If you are interested in ordering holiday gifts from CityMade, it is best to get your order in as soon as possible to avoid shipping delays.

This is wonderful news for Buffalo and infact it the concept needs to be expanded.
Imagine our local colleges partner with the Small Business Association to create and review business plans and as part of their success....they can get their great small business ideas marketed thru Citimade.
It could facilitate an outlet for our budding and struggling entrepreneurs and it could be a huge focal point of pride for are city and region.
Now the question is are their leaders out there that are willing to partner resources....to help the small business owner succeed?
But PJ's Loganberry while started by former Buffalonians is actually made out in Saratoga, NY. Aunt Rosie's is actually a much better flavor and more local...
It's like going to Buffalo Wild Wings, yeah you are supporting a chain started by former Buffalo guys but they now live and are based out in Minnesota not here.
Yea, suprising that Aunt Rosies isn't the choice.
These always make great christmas presents!!
