No golf... no convertibles... It's January in Buffalo

This week started off like any other week in January... sort of. There was a film crew from Toronto shooting a 20-minute short at Lu Modern Classics on Elmwood. The crew was also roaming Main Street in search of city sets, and they even made their way to the DL&W Terminal on the Buffalo River. Then there were the constant sightings of the TV crew from NY who are still in town shooting a reality dating show. That posse set up shop at Off the Wall, and after talking to one of the crewmembers (John... who had found his way to The Chocolate Bar), it appears as if the production crew has been digging Buffalo - in particular the food, the locales and the people. Then the cameras were out rolling again last night at La Luna where lenses were trained on a fashion shoot choreographed by Heather Russell. And that's not to mention the fashion (and chocolate) show that was hosted by Shadow Lounge on Hertel.

The above post is in direct response to 'Bacon', who recently left the following comment on BRO:

So tell me, Buffalonians. Why does anyone live up there? I spent 30 years in the north and these pics remind me why we moved. My wife is from Buff. When we see stuff like this we just laugh. We have been in the south for over 10 years and can think of no reason to go back. Don't tell me you love the 'change of seasons'. Because the leaves changing here are just as beautiful and I can still put the top down on my convertible on my way to the golf course in January.
