  I spent many a late night at The Steer while attending college, but unfortunately never had a chance to eat there. The Steer has been a North Buffalo landmark for over 43 years, and is presently finishing a series of renovations that will bring different generations of Buffalonians together under one roof. • Posted The Christmas Soiree II: Presented by Mercedes-Benz of Buffalo to Buffalo Rising
  The Buffalo Entertainment District will feature the premiere Holiday event of the season with the Christmas Soiree II: Presented by Mercedes Benz of Buffalo, at Bayou on Wednesday night.  All proceeds will benefit Bunkers in Baghdad, an organization that sends sporting goods to our troops fighting overseas. Last year's inaugural soiree raised thousands for Carly's Club of Roswell Park and helped with toy donations for needy children. The Soiree is hosted by Sean Coughlin, Tom Cowan and Jim Lorentz, three young entrepreneurial Buffalonians with visions and standards that stretch beyond what is considered to be typical for a Buffalo event.  "We...
• Posted Hockey Towne USA Fan Fest to Buffalo Rising
  The hockey world is coming to Buffalo this holiday season and Buffalo is waiting with open arms. 100,000 fans will be congregating for the IIHF World Junior Championship - the world's "Top Gun" for junior hockey.
