  The info about your company sounds great. My criticism of IDAs isn't also against Eastman for using it. I don't blame a business for receiving what the govt makes available - not Eastman, not even Chef's restaurant, or Termini, or Paladino, or Croce, or Bass Pro, or Premier Wine, or Solyndra, or when Warren Buffet's Buffalo News got govt handouts for their printing equipment...   Thanks! And thanks for being a strong Buffalo business as well. I agree with Yes Sir -- if we have a problem with our tax structure, then we should fix that. And I further agree that if tax credits are available, you can and should take them, just as any individual can and should take advantage of any tax deductions the IRS approves of. My beef is that with these IDAs, I see a lot of tax abatements thrown around haphazardly. Ultimatley, it does us no good. If it did, our local economy should be one of the best in...

When I lived in Rochester, Gleason Works was an anchor in my neighborhood, and we were all very proud to be their neighbors -- collaborating with them on neighborhood projects, and being unabashedly boosterish.
