Buffalo artist Ran Webber will be traveling to Florence, Italy to take part in the Florence Biennale (Biennale Internazionale DelliArte Contemporanea),where he was chosen to show four of his recent paintings. The Biennale is sponsored by the Vatican, UN and Ferrari Motors and is held in a 15th Century Renaissance Fortress (Fortessa da Basso), December 3-11, 2005. The Holiday Season in the Elmwood Village promises to be the best one to date. In conjunction with Elmwood businesses, Forever Elmwood is planning a number of fun events and activities. In addition, other organizations are also planning events in the Elmwood Village and we have tried to include that information.

Adding hundreds of residential units downtown may be starting to payoff. Word on the street is that the commercial space at the Sidway Building has been leased and will be occupied by a martini bar. Rumored price for the space? $3600/month. The former office building underwent a $7 million transformation by Clover Management in 2004 and its 67 upper-end apartments are fully leased.
