St. Bonaventure is a private Catholic university, established in 1858 by the first Franciscan Brothers to live in the United States.
Located between Allegany and Olean, NY, in the southwest corner of the state, St. Bona's offers undergraduate and graduate study. Many sports are offered for men and women at this NCAA Division I school in the Atlantic Conference 10.
St Bonaventure is very well known for its business and education schools, and has a journalism program that produced 5 Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists - one of whom is a professor in that department.
