For one night only, on Monday May 9th (tonight), the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre will be screening a double feature of Slime City and Slime City Massacre (info), both directed by Buffalo's own Greg Lamberson. All of the proceeds for this special event will be donated for a relief fund for Benjamin Heppel, a local 8 year-old boy diagnosed with Leukemia.
The family of Benjamin Heppel recently wrote, "In August 2010, 7 year old Benjamin Heppel, son of Thomas and Jennifer (Rommel) Heppel was diagnosed with Leukemia. For several months now he has undergone numerous procedures and treatment at Children's and Roswell Hospitals. Unfortunately, he has many years of treatments ahead of him.
