Chasing Static Tonight!
A celebration is being held tonight at DBGB's (formerly Staple's on Allen) in honor of the release of Chasing Static's first full-length album.  After a year of studio recording, with the help of friend Nate Boorman, the album 'One Corporate Drive' is complete, showcasing the Buffalo-based band's catchy pop-punk sound.

Sitting down with the band during a practice, I would have never guessed they've only been together for a little less than two years.  The foursome of Matt Manera, Rick Vallone, Aaron M, and Steve Rausche have an undeniable chemistry while performing, as well as off the stage.  Despite their abbreviated history, Chasing Static has drastically changed their style from a 90's grunge feel (something 'daringly close to Creed') by upping their tempo and taking from musical influences across the spectrum.  Their sound now is something akin to that of Jimmy Eat World.
