CALL FOR WORK:
A Note from Ruth Goldman, curator of the March 1st Night of Shorts:
I am curating a program of shorts for the UB Gender Institute's 11th Annual International Women's Film Festival at the Market Arcade Film and Arts Center this spring. I am looking for work by women that is new (ideally created for this program but at the least made in the past year and not previously screened in Buffalo). It should be 3-10 minutes long and can be any genre. The program will take place on March 1st and I will need your completed work in hand by February 24th. It must fit into this broad theme: A program of short films by WNY women filmmakers takes on the theme of "Crossings": women's lives and women live across and through time, place and culture, memory and mortality and community and creativity. If you would like to submit a completed work or a proposal, please contact me at rbgoldman@gmail.com ASAP.
