Embracing Women Artists for Eleven Years

churchwfw.jpg
Created in 1994, Women’s Gifts is a venue for women artists to sell their wares. Women of various skill levels and with different talents share their gifts with other women and the art-loving public every year in December. This year’s event is Saturday, December 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Elmwood Avenue and West Ferry in Buffalo.

Many artisans and shoppers return each year to revel in the warm, friendly and festive atmosphere. Festival organizers encourage people to help boost the local economy by purchasing unique holiday gifts from local artists and craftspeople.

The event features art, jewelry, paintings, frames, neckties, baby balls, mittens, clocks, totes, purses, journals, charms, fleece socks, ceramic tiles, photography, note cards, pottery, and other pieces. The musical line-up includes: Loraine O’Donnell with Michael Hake & Kathy Moriarty; Noa Bursie; Mari Anderson; Kathy Moriaty; Liz Spiro Carmen and Devon Carmen who will regale shoppers throughout the day.

Prices will range from $5 to several hundred dollars, so there is something to suit everyone’s budget.
