Dean Ambrose retains his WWE Championship at Battleground. The champ was put to the test, facing his two former teammates from The Shield Sunday Night in a triple threat match. So how does this affect Buffalo? For those who do not follow wrestling, there was a Draft last Tuesday on Smackdown’s first Live Show; the company separated its main roster, making its superstars Raw or Smackdown exclusive.
Dean Ambrose was the 2nd overall pick and went to Smackdown, which means the show in Buffalo this Tuesday could include a match from the current WWE Champion. The only other belt Smackdown was able to retain was the Intercontinental Championship. The Miz and Darren Young squared off in a one on one match, which ended in a double disqualification.
This should be a fun tonight – Tuesday, July 26 – in Buffalo. Despite facing a draft disadvantage, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan were able to put together an impressive roster, which includes the two champions mentioned above, as well as AJ Styles, John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, and four call ups from NXT: Mojo Rawley, Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and American Alpha.
