Once a summer, the Pride Center of WNY extends an invitation to the public to come out to the ballpark to celebrate the vibrancy of LGBTQ community. This year, partial proceeds from the Pride Center’s ticket sales will go towards the Official Pulse Orlando Victims Fund administered by Equality Florida.
On Thursday, July 28 at Coca-Cola Field, the Buffalo Bisons will be taking on the Syracuse Chiefs at 7 pm. To kick off the festivities, the Ambush gals will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch.
This open day at the ballpark is just one of many Pride events hosted throughout the year. Initiatives such as this demonstrate Buffalo’s commitment to strengthening its diverse communities. The LGBTQ community will be coming together to show their support for the Pulse Orlando victims, while continuing to unite in solidarity here in Buffalo.
Food and beverage will be available for purchase in the Centerfield Pavilion area beginning at 5 pm. Tickets are $12 and the Pride Center will contribute its portion of tickets sales to the Official Pulse Orlando Victims Fund administered by Equality Florida. Contact Rob Kates to purchase tickets at 716/846-2032 or RKates@bisons.com.
