Slow Roll Buffalo’s big Unity Ride is coming up on July 16, 2016 – 716 Day. On that day, cyclists will be huffing it around Buffalo with a simple message in mind – Unity!
Slow Roll Buffalo‘s Unity Ride addresses the Main Street divide in America’s sixth-most segregated metro area.
As a city, we are united, but there is still a dividing line that must be addressed. Over the last decade, the West Side has become a melting pot of people, all working together to rebuild this city. Now it’s time to focus our energy and our efforts on making the East Side a place of peace and prosperity, where everyone is welcome to take part in the city’s rebirth. If you’ve been waiting for the right Slow Roll to join in, there couldn’t be a better time and place to make a stand.
In a show of unity, Buffalo Common Council members Joel Feroleto (Delaware District) and Ulysses O. Wingo, Sr. (Masten District) are partnering with Slow Roll Buffalo, Buffalo Police Department, Sinatra & Company Real Estate & Mosey Associates, LLP to present a 716 Unity Ride this Saturday, July 16th, rolling at noon sharp from Niagara Square to Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, Delaware Park Buffalo, Front Park, and back downtown for a 2pm afterparty at Expo, 617 Main St., with food, drinks, and live music from the Unity Band – both the ride and party are open to all!
