What could be better than relaxing in a quiet, tranquil outdoor environment, with a couple of friends and a good book? If you like the sound of it, then you might be interested in participating in the Buffalo Reading Invasion.
Each year, hundreds of people gather together at special places throughout the city, enjoying the (silent) company of others along with a good book. The Reading Invasion is an excellent way to get away from the tech side of life for a stretch of time. Sometimes there’s nothing like spending some quality time out by the water or in a public park, wrapped up in the pages of a novel, a biography, a newspaper, or anything else that takes us away to another world of pure literary enjoyment.
Three Reading Invasions will be held this year – June, July and August.
The first Reading Invasion of the summer is taking place on Tuesday June 7th from 7pm to 8pm in Bidwell Parkway (near Elmwood).
