The Wellington Pub on Hertel Avenue is getting a facelift. While the establishment remains open for business, the facade is getting a fresher upper. The pub, as with a number of other Hertel buildings, is undergoing an overhaul inside and out. According to owners, the top half of the building is being restored back to its original state. The restored brick will feature new windows, the building dates and a new sign.
On the first floor, we can expect to see new doors and a new and improved patio. Inside the restaurant, new ceilings are being installed in the bar and the dining room. There’s also a new kitchen upgrade to look forward to. With all of the increased activity on the street, it was the perfect time to make these improvements.
After 32 years in business, the pub will re-emerge with a brand new look, as it continues to serve up traditional pub favorites in a North Buffalo neighborhood that has come to consider the restaurant a mainstay for food and drinks.
