The brewery tanks have arrived, and Thin Man is on its way towards opening day. Developer Rocco Termini and partner Mike Shatzel say that the brewery-restaurant will be open by Memorial Day, which pins it a month away from doors opening.
All week long, workers have been busy installing the massive overhanging patio, which will accommodate 70 people. The patio will also have an outdoor bar, making it easy for sun worshippers and star gazers to refill their glasses.
The opening of Thin Man brings with it an enthusiasm that is rippling through the neighborhood. I spoke with Erbert & Gerbert’s Elmwood franchise store owner Rustan Carpenter who told me that he is over the moon about the restaurant/brewery opening. He said that he felt that the business would help to bring a lot of foot traffic to the street, and is a big deal for the block.
