Seeing that this past winter was so mild, no one made a big deal when the ice boom was removed from the mouth of the Niagara River. While the removal of the boom might have been low key, the celebration that coincides with the spring fling occasion is business as usual. Boom Days is set to go off on Saturday, March 7, 2016.
If you have never attended this event, you must make plans to include this in your schedule this year. Boom Days is a celebration like no other. The day-long event takes place at Silo City, with live music, great food and beer, in a dramatic industrial setting along the Buffalo River.
Boom Days is a festival dedicated to the rejuvenation of the city and its waters. The event highlights Buffalo’s incredible history, and its bright future. Friends and family are invited to gather together to eat and drink and simply relax at Silo City, while being entertained by some of the greatest artists and performers around. This year, Young Artists of WNY will be conducting all of the programming for the event.
Young Audiences programs and performances will be featured at the following times:
Noon-12:45 pm, Susie Rozler – Mama Earth’s Kitchen Show Band
Noon-1:30 pm, Kristin Brandt – Tessellation Workshop
1:00-1:45 pm, Doug Yeomans – Blues to Bluegrass
1:30-3:00 pm, Christy Zucarelli – One Page Collage Creations
