It’s not often that we get to see the flip side of the coin, when it comes to Joe professional’s life. I’m referring to your doctor, your lawyer, your banker… I bet that you would be surprised to find that there are a lot of professionals out there who do some pretty interesting things, besides their professional duties.
On Saturday, November 21, Buffalo Iron Works is hosting the Inaugural Battle of the Corporate Bands. On that day, some of Buffalo’s unsung musically talented corporate professionals (yeah, suits), will get a chance to hop onstage to compete against each other for the title of Buffalo’s best corporate musician’s band. Contestants featured are:
So Sue Me! — Harter Secrest and Emery
15 Fingers and the Other 5 — 15 Fingers
Pavlov’s Cat — University at Buffalo
BROAK — Ingram Micro, Inc.
Methane — National Fuel Gas
Authorized Party — M&T Bank
Curb Appeal — Curbell, Inc.
Mandy Hintz & the Four No-Name Bankers — First Niagara Bank
Bands are made up of employees who play music on the side; each band will try to steal the spotlight in front of cheering friends, co-workers and live music fans. Competition winners will be determined by a panel of celebrity judges as well as audience voting.
