With a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving airing last week, we should have all seen the writing on the wall. Instead of Charlie kicking the ball, it was Dan Carpenter and his band of not so lovable losers. Once again, the pathetic coaching, penalties and costly mistakes end the Bills season before we even hit December…….AGAIN.
What I find harder to believe than missing the playoffs 16 years in a row is how many of those seasons ended with 4 or more games left to play.
Step back and think about that one.
I think it’s time that this organization earned the nickname Factory of Madness. Bills fans must have something seriously wrong with them to actually believe that anything will ever change. Rex Ryan has taken a top 5 defense and absolutely shredded it to pieces.
These are the glory days folks because when Sammy leaves after his first contract, Gilmore heads for greener pastures and an aging defense soaks up most of the cap – the rebuild will be fully under way.
The Bills will beat a couple more injury riddled teams before the season is over and make sure we end up in purgatory with an 8-8 record at best.
How in the world does Sammy look all-world in the first half and then totally disappears in the 2nd?
Seriously, how many different ways can this team mentally collapse week in and week out?
All we can hope for at this point is that these guys figure out a way to lose out and look towards the draft.
If they were smart, they cut Kyle and Mario next year and start rebuilding with a much more youthful defense. Rex Ryan may have been a good Defensive Coordinator back in the day and it is just too bad that the Bills were the ones to sign him up as he was being carted off to the woodshed.
The Bills continue to be one the most irrelevant teams in the league and they proved once again why that is the case.
The Sabres seem to be about 3-4 players away from contender status so hopefully, within the next couple years, the city of Buffalo will finally have something to be proud of again (when it comes to Sabres and Bills).
Until then, the Factory of Madness continues to churn out a different way to lose every week. Hey, what’s the NFL record for missing the playoffs? Ahh yes, the madness is starting to sink in already.
