1665 Main Street Group, LLC, a partnership that includes Sinatra & Company Real Estate, has officially purchased the Allied Household Storage Building at 1665 Main Street. The property was sold for $1,345,000. A mix of residential and commercial space is planned for the six-storey, 88,500 square foot building, sold by KBH Properties LLC.
The planned Midtown Apartments with 60 units has the ability to impressively alter the streetscape of this section of Main Street, which is in close proximity to Canisius College and the Buffalo Medical Campus. Sinatra has been heavily investing along Main Street as of late – from Fenton Village to Phoenix Brewery t0 the Wayne and Waldorf Apartments. All of these properties fall along the Metro Rail line – a natural connector between the properties.
Surprisingly, the bones of Main Street (around the 1665 building) are still fairly strong. With strategic infill, nearby facade improvements, an investment in infrastructure by the City, and a halt on future Dollar Store-type developments, we could be looking at an area of the city that is loaded with potential.
