Most of us are already aware that Buffalo was the first city to be designed with an interconnecting parks and parkway system, designed by Olmsted and Vaux.
These days, Buffalo is hard at work, attempting to preserve and restore the integrity of its Olmsted Parks. The monumental effort can only be realized by examining the history of parks.
The following video, from the Library of American Landscape History, has been given a national award by the Society of Architectural Historians. The award winning video does an excellent job at telling the story of Buffalo and its intertwining Park System.
