H.E.A.L. BFLO has set out on a mission to get Buffalonians living healthier lives, through exercise, eating right, art appreciation, and spiritual fortitude.
On February 21, 2015, the group will be hosting its first Yoga Retreat inside The Foundry at 1738 Elmwood Avenue. The private event will include workshops and classes, live music, lunch and a raw food seminar. For those who are looking to further your reach into the world of healing through “health, energy, art and love”, the event will guide you through a number of community supported initiatives and workshops that will start at 10am and wrap up at 5pm. The event is $60.00 presale and $75 at the door.
A second room at The Foundry will be dedicated to local artists, vendors, and businesses, as well as local food and beverage. This event also takes place from 10am-5pm, and is free and open to the public. The premise of this open session is to offer a less structured sampling of many of H.E.A. L. BFLO’s beliefs, based around local offerings aimed at strengthening the mind and the body.
Partial proceeds from the H.E.A. L. [Health. Energy. Art. Love] BFLO event will be donated to Lighthouse Women’s Residence (substance abuse facility for expecting and parenting women). The money raised will go towards purchasing yoga equipment for the ladies at the facility).
