Artfarms, the organization that is bringing interactive public art and creative green space to the city’s East Side, is now organizing a series of kids’ art classes that will take place at the “Tree Table” (Michigan-Riley Farm).
The table (see here) was created in order to provide a community venue for just such a purpose – a place where people could gather, socialize, and share ideas. It was also intended as a place to get things done. Now Artfarms is teaming up with Locust Street Art to provide free children’s art classes.
The first class offered is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 29 from 4-5pm. The following Friday will be the second session at the same time. Kids are not expected to bring anything with them, other than their creativity. Everything else is provided!
