Work is rapidly progressing on Rocco Termini’s new restaurant at 128 Genesee Street. Dog é Style, serving hot dogs and other items along with a full bar, is expected to open in August. Termini is holding a contest to create a logo for the new restaurant with a $200 cash prize for the winning design.
Termini purchased the vacant lot where Dog é Style is being built from the City last year for $2,000. The two-story restaurant is being constructed with panels created out of shipping containers. BMS Design and Schenne & Associates designed the project.
The new restaurant is at the edge of the Theater and Chippewa districts, just two blocks from Main Street and a short walk from several downtown residential projects. It is also located across from Genesee Gateway and the Catholic Health Administrative Center now under construction at Genesee and Oak streets. A number of redevelopment projects are underway on surrounding blocks. Watch for an upcoming post on some restaurant happenings nearby.
