D’Avolio’s Kitchen is heading downtown filling a key storefront in the resurgent 500 block of Main Street. The oil, salt, and vinegar purveyor has taken the first floor of 535 Main Street with plans to open this spring. D’Avolio’s will be bringing its kitchen concept into the heart of the city and will be offering soups, salads, pizza, and sandwiches along with its retail offerings.
Building owners Kevin Helfer and Paul Lamparelli are gutting four-story, circa-1851 building that has 6,800 sq.ft. of space. Residential space will occupy the building’s upper floors. A second floor apartment will contain over 2,000 sq.ft. of living space. The third and fourth floors will house two, two-story loft units.
D’Avolio has five area locations including a retail store at 814 Elmwood Avenue. Its only other ‘kitchen’ location is on Main Street in Williamsville.
