One of my favorite restaurants is opening a second location in the city. Don Tequila in Allentown has signed a lease at the former Blue Fin Asian Bistro (765 Elmwood Avenue), where it will concentrate on serving up a scaled down version of its current menu, featuring what it considers are its best sellers. Owner Sergio Mucino feels that the walking traffic that Elmwood can provide his business, will naturally attract a new clientele to try out his traditional Mexican food. The restaurant will be called Agave.
Since the start, Don Tequila has welcomed a brisk business on Allen Street – the business opened in May of 2013. If the same formula is used when Agave opens its doors, there is no doubt that Sergio will have another hit on his hands, especially considering the location and the attractive layout of the space (formerly Brodo before Blue Fin).
A sign on Blue Fin’s door states that the restaurant has opted to combine with Wasabi across the street (same owners) in order to consolidate its offerings in the village.
