Sinatra and Company has begun preliminary work to rejuvenate the Wayne and Waldorf Apartments at 1106-1110 Main Street. Sinatra purchased the property in May 2012 from Barons of Buffalo LLC for $1.65 million.
“We are going to have demolition done by the end of the month and hoping to have one building completed by February,” says Matt Connors, project manager at Sinatra and Company.
Savarino Cos. is general contractor for the restoration work and Carmina Wood Morris is the project architect.
Consisting of 32 units in a pair of buildings, the Wayne and Waldorf Apartments are at the edge of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, just south of Summer Street and across from the Our Lady of Lourdes complex that Ellicott Development plans to redevelop.
All of the apartments are two-bedroom units and the classical room layout will remain with all new finishes.
Sinatra and Company is also working on its Fenton Village at Main and Ferry streets that will bring a mix of commercial and upscale residential apartments to the prominent corner.
