Have you ever wondered what you could do to support Buffalo's marketing effort? Well, as a matter of fact it's kinda easy. Visit Buffalo Niagara (VBN) has been working on expanding its product offerings online with a new online store, and each time you make a purchase your money goes toward marketing this city. See what I mean when I say that it's an easy way to contribute?

Now you can get some of your favorite Buffalo merchandise online, while knowing that you're furthering our region's promotional efforts. From long sleeve t-shirts to Buffalo-centric books... there are even chicken wing and sponge candy holiday ornaments for the die-hards out there. Apparently chicken wing ornaments were biggest sellers over the holidays, along with Beef on Weck for Dummies and zubaz koozies (whatever floats your boat). 

Remember, 100% of the net proceeds from the online sales (and the merch sales at the Airport and Market Arcade information centers) goes toward marketing our region.

I love this, but gotta ask... how many of these items are made locally, and how many are shipped in from China?

As a temporary expat, my shopping list regularly includes Sorrento cheese, Cheerios and Rich products. I tend to hope that makes a bigger difference than buying novelties that were made in Mauritius or Guangzhou.

Very cool hoodies and shirts.
They are working on some new designs and products for this year.
The applique lettering, labels, hang tags, printing, etc... are all designed, manufactured, and applied in Buffalo !

There's also a local artist trying to launch Buffalo-themed items with her 'Be Herd' slogan that I think is very clever:
