In recent years we've seen a surge in belly dancing in Buffalo. From classes to performances to events, belly dancing still retains its exotic aura, but at the same time it is accessible to anyone looking for fanciful entertainment or a fun exercise alternative (learn more).
On January 12, 2013, Fleuron Rouge and The Belly Dance Academy will be organizing a hafla and belly dance performance at Babeville's 9th Ward at 6:30pm. Essentially a hafla is a joyous gathering or party, and in this case, Fleuron Rouge and The Belly Dance Academy come together the second Saturday of each year to celebrate the season ahead, while promoting the art of belly dancing as an art form and passionate expression of the soul.
