Here at Buffalo Rising, we're constantly sending readers to major events throughout the city throughout the course of the year. Often times we fail to draw attention to the weekly occurrences that are the backbone of our neighborhoods. I was reminded of this after checking out notices from the Elmwood Village Association. So often we concentrate on the big draws, but on just about any given evening, the city is alive with ongoing, participatory singing, dancing, poetry readings, open karaoke, etc. that often times we are not aware of.
