Can someone find out what happened on Breckenridge between Norwood and Elmwood...It looked like the Apocalypse this morning...At least 8 cars totaled
I didn't see anything...did it look like a traffic accident, or was it vandalism? More details, please.
It looks like someone drunk decided to start on the right side 4 cars in before Ashland and then head over to the left side right after ashland towards Elmwood...Windows were blown out, car rear ends were in the middle of the cars...At least 6 to 8 cars .....One nice white BMW was almost totaled..
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An overnight pursuit in Buffalo resulted in a foot chase on Breckenridge Avenue, in an incident that left as many as 10 vehicles damaged.
Around 2 a.m. Monday, Buffalo Police say they saw a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Willie Holcomb fail to stop at a stop sign near Grant Street and Hampshire. Police say the officers determined the vehicle was stolen and began a pursuit.
According to police, Holcomb turned onto Breckenridge Avenue and accelerated, in an attempt to flee from the officers. Police say that Holcomb then damaged as many as 10 vehicles between the 500-600 blocks of Breckenridge. Next, he allegedly struck a light pole before exiting the vehicle and fleeing through several backyards.
Police say Holcomb was apprehended following a brief foot chase in the 400 block of Ashland Avenue.
Northwest District officers arrested Holcomb and charged him with Criminal possession of stolen property, Unauthorized use of a vehicle, Reckless driving, Resisting arrest, Failure to stop at stop sign and other charges.
