Leave a commentHow did the dealer get those in the first place?
It's like taking a dog, and returning it for the reward money.
Previous owners of the complex sold off all kinds of stuff, as I understand it.
I just donated a couple bucks, and im a broke college kid.. EVERYONE DONATE!!!!
It would be a cool story for the future if they got it back and the terminal actually become really used and then I can be like "i remember back in 2012 I donated to have it purchased back from toronto to come to here"
in for $20. 3k sure doesn't buy what it used to.
Marilyn Rodgers mentions a "Center for Restorative Arts & Sciences." Never heard that before and I don't recall it mentioned in the March 2012 Master Plan. Is this specific Center use something new?
Tahooter, the Master Plan presented was a synopsis and still has definitive components to add. This is the concept that allows for all the elements described in the Master Plan presentation including reuse that benefits the community to bring, not only the Terminal back, but the Historic Polonia District/Broadway-Fillmore Community back to more prosperous times with recognition of many other historical elements such as the Broadway Market and others.
change that to "restoration arts & sciences." otherwise "restorative" sounds like a new age spa.
Great idea, just donated $50
Lets bring this home!
Keep in mind that this light fixture was legally sold under the ownership of Anthony Fedele. This light fixure was in the now detached train concourse. In 1981 the belt line bridge was destroyed because of the double stacked freight cars. So he saved these lights from vandals and theives.

I hope this makes it back to the Central Terminal.
Perhaps the CTRC should look into selling replicas of these things. This would make the coolest lamp or side table (I'm not sure of the scale). I wonder how expensive it would be to make fiberglass or plastic replicas. I'd definitely buy one.
