Buffalo Chili Fest at Statler City
On Sunday October 14, from 1 pm-5 pm, Buffalonians are invited to come down Statler City to sample a number of chili recipes created by Buffalo Chophouse, Buffalo Fire Engine #34, BW's BBQ, D'Arcy McGees, Irishman Pub and Eatery, KP's Kitchen, Laughlins Beef and Barrel, Mr. Bones Family Restaurant, North Boston Fire Co., Roaming Buffalo, Siena and Statler City. Contestants will be awarded by celebrity judges, and there will also be a Peoples' Choice Award.
The event is kid-friendly with puppet shows, face painting, ballooning and mini-golf. The Buffalo Bills away game will be aired on multiple televisions. On top of that there will be a live music performance by Holly Kay. The beers will be flowing as Statler City turns up the heat with some of the top chefs competing for the best chili recipes in Greater Buffalo.
*Admission is $5.00 per person. Kids age five and under are free. Tickets for chili samples will be sold for $1 each, along with special ticket packages.
