Urban Land Institute of WNY Hosts Lunch-&-Learn at Canalside
Over the past three years, the Inner Harbor, Buffalo River and Outer Harbor have seen a steady transformation from underutilized land into regional waterfront assets that have drawn hundreds of thousands of people and hundreds of millions in public and private investment. Join the Urban Land Institute of WNY on Monday October 1st as they sit down for lunch at Lagerhaus 95 (95 Perry Street) with Tom Dee, President of the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (ECHDC), to receive firsthand insight into the evolution of Buffalo's waterfront to-date and a look into what's to come.  The event runs from Noon until 1:30 PM.  

The presentation will focus on:
•Recap of 2012 highlights (including programming changes, awarded contracts, construction progress)
•Impact of the Webster Block on CanalSide 
•The Ohio Street Connector and what it means for spinoff development
•Plans for Outer Harbor 
•Opportunities for private investment
•Financial payback from public investments

Price is $5 for ULI members, $15 for non-ULI members, with lunch included from Lagerhaus 95. Space is limited and quickly filling up - register in advance to reserve your spot.

Founded in 2011, the Young Leaders Group of Western New York  has a number of members who enjoy events throughout the year designed specifically for them and by them, in addition to those offered by the New York District Council. The Young Leaders Group includes a diverse group of real estate professionals and students, including architects, engineers, financial analysts, city planners, and lawyers.
