Don't Give Tom a Room

Don’t Give Tom a Room
Is this the greatest billboard in the history of Buffalo billboarding advertising?

Discuss.

*It just so happens that ESPN is in town today and will be spending some time at the Hotel @ The Lafayette. One of the things that they will be doing while here is learning about all of the new Buffalo developments, including exploring places downtown and the waterfront.

On Friday (today) ESPN will be attending a cocktail party at the Hotel @ The Lafayette from 5:30 -7:30pm hosted by Buffalo Fan Alliance. That event is $100 a ticket and proceeds go toward paying lawyer fees generated by the group and its efforts to keep The Bills in Buffalo.

On Saturday Buffalo Bills Mafia will be rallying at the hotel at 3pm (a free event open to the public) - they will be replaying the game where Buffalo stomped on The Patriots last season. ESPN may also attend that event.

Both events are scheduled to take place at the Pan American Grill and Brewery.

The billboard in the lead image is certainly apropos considering all of the pro-Buffalo Bills and anti-Brady sentiments being promoted this weekend.

Meh. I kinda like Carl using an entire building to take shots at his opponents. You know... instead of doing something with the building.

Well -- seeing as it was actually Tom's father that did the whining, it would be more appropriate if the billboard said, "Don't give Tom's DAD a room."

But I give an A for effort.

im thinking it validates to others (like tom) our communal sense of not being good enough...which who knows how many people that represents...personally, i wasn't offended by tom or his opinion....ok, carry on...

Billboards are litter on a stick. It's visual pollution that exists only to advertise a product, service, or person, and serves no public benefit. There's no such thing as a "greatest billboard IMHO.

Will this lead to some national coverage to be broadcast? A special? Something during the airing of the game maybe?

I agree with Elias. I'm a huge Bills fan, but thankfully got out of Buffalo when I could. This just shows the city's one dimensional. I was laughing at the amount of people who were offended by Brady. I mean, have you ever stayed in a Buffalo hotel? Lets just beat the Patriots without the billboards. Also, can we stop with the whole Bills Mafia thing? What is this the Jersey Shore Bills now?

If you are so happy you "got out" when you could why do you come back and troll sites dedicated to making this city better for those of us who stayed? And Bills Mafia is Bills fans having fun on twitter and engaging the players. They love the team.

Get over yourself and start tolling sites for whichever southern paradise you moved to.

You sound like a cry-baby. Got out of Buffalo when you could, eh? Were you being persecuted and your life was in danger? Melodramatic.

When was the last time that you stayed in a Buffalo hotel, Adam? That's quite the generalization you're making there, sir.

This is fun! Professional football in WNY is something to have fun with. Stop thinking so deeply about it and have fun!

Northtown's involvement in the community seems to be a bit deeper than the other car dealerships. Whether it's the Northtown Center in Amherst, the baseball fields they sponsor on Wehrle...or something like this (the sign).

Good for them.

It pains me a bit to write that...I wish they sold U.S. cars (please...I know the majority are assembled here...).

It is amazing how few people have a sense of humor. This is funny. And without billboards how would we know what to buy?

I can't decide if this is a pathetic bush league stunt or funny. Maybe it is both.

Does anyone remember the 103.3 Shredd and Ragan "Cellino and Bald" billboard?

That one gets my vote for the greatest billboard in the history of Buffalo advertising.

Adam: "This just shows the city's one dimensional."

Duh, Adam, Buffalo's not a real city, it's a just a place where the Bills play. But, I wish I shared your one dimensional view that this place were a city instead.
