Calling All Amateur Photographers for Prospect Hill Photo Contest

Buffalo Tours is hosting a photo contest in collaboration with the CEPA Gallery. It is open to amateur photographers for the best and most interesting photos of the Prospect Hill Neighborhood. The actual contest will be taking place during the Preservation Plus Conference on September 24-28. Winning photographs will be displayed during the Inside the Homes of Prospect Hill tour, which is taking place on Saturday, September 29 from 10am to 2pm.

The deadline for submissions is next Friday, September 14 at 5pm, participants can send their entries to info@BuffaloTours.org. Please attach the photo and include your name, address, location of the photo, and a title.

The top five prizewinners will receive two free tickets to the Inside the Homes of Prospect Hill tour and on year family membership in Preservation Buffalo Niagara. The first prize winner will receive a Panasonic Lumix ZS8 Camera ($250 value), a CEPA photography workshop ($225 value), and a $100 dollars worth of Buffalo Tours gift certificates. The second prize winner will receive a Canon Powershot A2300 Camera ($150 value) and $50 worth of Buffalo Tour certificates. The third prize winner will receive a PBN gift pack ($100 value) and $40 worth of Buffalo Tours, Tour Bucks.

The rules for the contest are as follows:

1) Photos should be taken within the red borders of the above map, or in Front Park, to qualify for the contest. (Click for larger image.) Photos must have been taken in 2012. Of course, please do not enter private property without permission!

2) You may enter as many photos as they wish, but can only win one of the five prizes. CEPA Gallery members, Preservation Buffalo Niagara members, and residents within contest borders may participate.

3) All photos entered in the contest may be posted online. Posting is at the discretion of the organizers. A selection of the best photos will be determined and displayed during Inside the Homes of Prospect Hill on September 29.

4) Winners are determined by the organizers and judges' decisions are final.

5) By entering, you give Preservation Buffalo Niagara and the CEPA Gallery permission to publish or use your photo at any time or for any purpose. Every effort will be made to credit photographers for their work. Prizes and rules may be subject to change.
