As the Really, Really Free Market (Facebook
) movement continues to grow, the biggest change comes in the form of the revolving location. On Saturday August 11, the market is heading to the University District. "Really, really free market University Heights edition is a fun way to share and recycle," said market organizer Patricia Mason. "If it works on the West Side let's try it inthe North!] September will be held at UB South on the Green. Join us monthly in progressive Buffalo! Many thanks to friend and activist Shea Akers for promoting the spread of the Really, really free market."
The market is a great way for the community to come together to enjoy the camaraderie that goes hand in hand with such a spirited undertaking. The fact that the Really, Really Free Market travels to different districts in the city gives everyone a chance to get involved. Remember, bring something that you no longer want or need, and look for something that you could use. Or just drop something off that you feel could benefit someone else. Or show up empty-handed and browse for something that strikes your fancy... it's all good.
The Free Market is happening August 11th, 12:00 - 3 pm. It will be at University Heights Triangle Park, which is Tyler and W. Winspear near Parkside... "teachers of skills and trades also. (ie: juggling, yoga, jewelry making, kids crafts..etc.) Items left over are donated to local charities and organizations."
