After taking a summer hiatus, the Urban Land Institute of WNY Young Leaders Group is back in action and hosting an exclusive tour of the new $140 million Courthouse on Niagara Square. The Honorable William M. Skretny, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court, will lead the tour.
The tour of the new 10-story, 284,000 square foot building will include highlights like a discussion of the design and various elements that allowed the building to qualify for LEED NC Gold certification. The building is not only resistant to potential explosives, but also has some incredible "green" features such as the low "e" glazing high performance building envelope, occupancy sensor controls, and low flow water fixtures.
The event takes place on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 5:00 pm (meet in the lobby), with the tour beginning at 5:30 on the dot. After the tour, attendees will head over to SOHO Burger Bar for networking and cash bar. The goal of the event is to provide industry-related professionals and locals the chance to see and learn about the most expensive government building built in the history of Buffalo.
Photo ID is required and registration is free for members. There is a $5 charge for non-members. Pre-registration is mandatory and ends September 10th. To register click the link here.

Did the young leaders successfully put the squash on the new medical building on the williamsville campus?
