2nd Saturday Artisan Sale and Farm Stand @ The Foundry

2nd Saturday Artisan Sale and Farm Stand @ The Foundry
If you didn't catch the last event at The Foundry (see here), then get ready to pay a visit to a special gathering of funtastic proportions this Saturday at 298 Northampton Street in East Buffalo. Kevin Hayes, co-founder of Net+Positive said, "What's happening at the Foundry is really exciting.  Last week we hosted Torn Space Theatre and their production of "He Who Gets Slapped", this Saturday our monthly sale, lots of volunteers bustling to create unique work spaces, new tenants. The building is really in transition!"

Your event host, Net+Positive, continues to beat the drum (literally) in hopes of turning The Foundry into an urban artisan destination, where people can learn to live a life where they can build their own futures in a sustainable manner. The family-friendly activities range from live music to an artisan sale to a farm stand. You can catch all of the community action throughout the year (every second Saturday), but you don't want to miss this upcoming extravaganza. Caesandra Seawell, Net+Positive's Director of Shenanigans, says "This is more than an opportunity for artisans to sell their work; artists share their inspiration with each other and their public.  My hope has always been that our impact on the community is an exchange of inspiration, that people will say, "Well, if they can do it, so can I - I can pursue my idea and develop my talent and enjoy my work."

This Saturday, August 11th from 12pm to 5 pm. Saturday Sales occur every Second Saturday of the month and feature the work of local artisans, musicians, culinary artists, and educators.

*This month' events include music by the Andrew J. Reimers Country Punk Extravaganza, locally produced ARTISAN CRAFTS, locally harvested and unique ARCHITECTURAL MATERIALS, great food including GOODIES FROM THE GARDEN (hyper-local produce), and an awesome BEER BREWING WORKSHOP by a local craft brewer.
