Pure Peru Buffalo
Another pop-up restaurant is coming to the Elmwood Village to prepare and serve a Peruvian style buffet (see Facebook). Once again, the buzz surrounding this event is tremendous, which should hopefully inspire more pop-ups to set up shop throughout the city. Now that we have seen two examples of this growing trend, I would imagine that there are more chefs and venues waiting in the wings to be paired. It's the perfect way to scope out neighborhoods, in order to see if there is a good fit, rather than attempting to open a full scale restaurant only to find that there are no customers.
On Saturday July 29, from 4-9pm, Executive Chef Martha Sosa of Pure Peru Buffalo will be turning ZGM Fine Art Gallery into a Peruvian food-lover's feast. The event coincides with the Independence Day of Peru - Peru's independence from Spanish rule in 1824. The pop-up event is unique in that it is being held in a beautiful former-church (see here). The celebration promises to be unforgettable, especially when you take a look at all of the wonderful food...
Featured dishes include: Ceviche Mixto • Causa Rellena • Papa Rellena • Papa Huancaina • Aji de Gallina • Lomo Saltado • Carapulcra Seco de Carne • CauCau • Ollu Quito • Frijoles • Rice Pudding • Purple Pudding • Crema Voteada Lucuma.
Location: ZGM Fine Arts, 1045 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14222

Maybe it is the snob in me but this post seems to be abusing the term pop-up restaurant.
