Broadway Market Rooftop Party

Broadway Market Rooftop Party
I bet you never thought that you would be invited to party on top of the Broadway Market, did you? Sounds a bit out of the ordinary, doesn't it? On Saturday, July 28 everyone is invited to come out to the 3rd annual Broadway Market Rooftop Extravaganza, where they can listen to some of the best bands in the area performing in a completely different outdoor area. The event is in association with the Buffalo Infringement Festival and is being hosted by buffaBlog.

The free rooftop party is scheduled to run from 1:00pm - 7:00pm and will feature performances by the Albrights, Handsome Jack, the Merchants, Sleepy Hahas, and Victory for Poland, with DJ sets from Trakbenders. If you're familiar with any of these music acts, then you are aware that this is a stellar line-up. This is one party that you don't want to miss. It's being thrown for a great cause in a super unusual location with music acts that are going to make you want to get down on the rooftop.

While your there, be sure to check out the amazing rooftop garden... that alone is worth a visit to The Broadway Market.

...okay, I give up. What is the 'great cause' for this event?
(It's not noted in text or on poster)

Yes. What is the cause. Can't be the market itself as you used the word great.

I think it's a fundraiser for the Infringement Festival.

Who cares the cause?

OK cause...save the Broadway market...save the east side...extend the lightrail to the airport

You do not need light rail in Buffalo, get over it.

The one thing that is common in other cities but unheard f in Buffalo...are rooftop bars, restaurants, cafes, etc.

Lets hope this catches on downtown and larkin district

On a list of 100 things Buffalo should be worried about, rooftop bars caves etc wouldnt make it out of the top 90.

Didnt say it was a high priority to worry about.

Just saying that its a nice element of urban living that we dont capitalize and make use of...

Marked my calendar.

I missed the rooftop garden, last year. A great use of the space. Looking forward to seeing it.

Why not just go into (not onto) the Market and patronize the businesses. They need the help more than an art festival.

Wow - someone is trying to do things in the community and they get bashed!

the comments say "can't be the market - cause you said great; don't need lightrail; But taking the bus is for the homeless and transsexual!; On a list of 100 things Buffalo should be worried about, rooftop bars caves etc wouldnt make it out of the top 90; Why not just go into (not onto) the Market and patronize the businesses."

No wonder things are screwed up - - everyone is bitching about anything that's being done.

Polonia - - perhaps getting people "onto" the Market will help them realize there are businesses "in" the Market and they might become patrons! If you don't get them there, they won't know about it, let alone go into it....

What the hell does light rail and the homeless/transexual comment have to do with this event?

Paulsobo and BuffaloQPublic - - I'm glad to see someone is looking outside the box (and their @ss) and seeing the potential of this event....
