It’s not that often that we see a couple of non-profits teaming up to draw visitors. In this case, Western New York Artists Group (Art Dialogue Gallery) and Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site are coming together to host an event that is partially intended to get people walking between the two destinations. After all, these groups anticipate that by creating a common draw they can make a bigger splash.
The event that will be making that splash is called Gifts at the Galleries, and it’s intended to feature a variety of artisans and business persons from around Greater Buffalo. The hope is that anyone looking for a Mothers Day or Fathers Day gift will consider searching out something truly original, while learning about Buffalo’s cultural scene at the same time.
Here’s the info:
Approximately twenty five Western New York vendors will be featured between both locations, a mere walking distance from one another. The event will take place on May 5, 2012 from 11:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and there will be a free drawing for framed artwork.
