Brunch at Black Rock Kitchen and Bar
Comments
Leave a commentTheir brunch is killer. the few times i've sat down to eat i've had Matt as a server, and he's excellent.
Reservations, last i knew, were not necessary for a party under four people, i don't know if that's changed in the last few weeks, but it is nice to know you can slip in under the radar if you and a significant other or a brunch buddy want to drop in unannounced.
The only problem with this place is that its in Black Rock. Other than that, it sounds delightful.
You should change your moniker to "wordsmith."
It is not a "problem to be in Black Rock" but an advantage, this business is thriving as are the many others in the neighborhood. The only "problem" is your ignorance and bigotry.
Had a decent experience there today and would definitely go back again! I would suggest making reservations, they were quite busy, even shortly after 11am. There was only one server...super polite and did a pretty darn good job! I really hope that they add on another server. The kitchen did goof up my order a bit, but the management did what it shoud have to make it better. The menu has a great variety of plates, many of which could easily be shared amongst several people. We definitely want to try the potato pancakes when we go back and I thought the bruschetta done brunch-style looked scrumptious! I definitely suggest trying this place out!
Will have to check out their brunch.. i've gone there for dinner twice and had absolutely awesome meals! Especially go for their specials.. I had the Escolar fish.. definitely worth the money. IMO the food is much better than Hardware, their counterpart.

This place is always busy, you need to call days ahead for a reservation. The Black Rock Kitchen and Bar is a welcome addition to "the rock" and the growing Amherst St business district.
