Leave a commentThanks for the visit. We couldn't be happier in our new building. Great support from the landlords
You're welcome, But I am concerned about the homeless and drug addicts that hang out front. I did smell pot as I was coming in and then bothered by another guy both times I visited your establishment. I know, it's not your fault, but it is right outside your business. I'm worried about the new outdoor setting and how many of these scum bags would hang out and harras anyone sitting there for money? That is why I dont ever sit on outdoor patios in this city. It's better to sit inside and not be bothered.
Lego, I can't believe you got "thumbs down" responses to your mention of the element that hangs in that area. Do these people on this site think it's ok for people to beg, sleep, piss, sh*t and litter all over a city I love to live in. I feel as sorry for the homeless and destitute as the next person but they are violating my civil liberties as I don't want to smell human waste, pot or walk around litter when coming home after a day of work!!. I contribute to many charities and help as much as any tax paying citizen can, but anyone who thinks this is not a HUGE problem for this immediate area is blind.
Do I have a solution, No, I don't claim to, but I can voice my opinion. And maybe if these people didn't hang around as much as they did, other businesses would be more willing to take a risk and open in the area.
For those that gave me a thumbs down, they are probably the ones who give these people money right on the street, smoke right along with them, think it's just fine to loiter around in what could be a great neighborhood. I give to charity too, to organizations that help the homeless. If your going to just give random people on the street money, then, heck, Give ME some money then! lol.
I live a few feet from here and I am really trying to picture this spot and can't; is this just past the Hyatt Atrium?
Brian, it's right at the corner of Main @ Mohawk.
So out of the four possible options if would located at...
South east corner- get out and explore your neighborhood already. If u really live downtown as u say.
I work for a living sir, what am I going to explore? All the businesses downtown that close when I'm getting out of work?
Take this new business for example -- Mon - Thu: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm and Fri: 7:00 am - 2:30 pm. I like to eat deli sandwiches on Saturday, you know, when I'm off and out exploring my neighborhood...
Hey Shawn.....stop calling me a Landlord! LOL.......Seriously everyone, Shawn has a first class Cafe and I have a feeling that he understands the marketplace and will continue to grow and thrive in the downtown market. All of at CWM welcome eCafe with open arms........
Welcome Shawn and Crew, and keep the good breakfasts, lunches and coffee coming.
Add in The Western New York Book Arts Center and new Martin Group building and you have a "creative district." The café will serve well as a hub for it all!
I just hope all this new positive activity pushes the bums away and creates a more friendly and safer vibe.
Any thoughts on weekend hours in the future?
weekend hours coming soon, we are working with Buffalo place and the BPD to get rid of the riff raff.
Are they goin to re-open Mohawk Street? Get rid of the concrete planters and put more lighting over there? Police need to start arresting or taking these bums SOMEWHERE else, other wise NOTHING will change.
Lego1981 -- let go of your "bums" fixation -- you need to toughen.

I've been here twice since they openend for breakfast. It's really a nice spot and excellent food and coffee. I enjoy watching the news on the big screen while waiting for my order.
