Sweet Sugar Flea
Despite the sporadic downpour and the high winds today, Sugar City managed to pull off a successful flea market. When we first walked in I was expecting to see a couple of people milling about. Instead we were welcomed with a multitude of browsers and shoppers who had come to support the grassroots flea market initiative.

Although I only walked out with a vegan cupcake, I did notice a bunch of people walking around with purchased items in their hands. More than anything else, the vibe was worth the trip. If you've never paid a visit to Sugar City, then you might not realize how much room there is to display items. A while back the venue expanded into the back room, which meant that there was plenty of space to move about without running into anyone. From the outside of the 'house' it might not appear so roomy.
What a great way to kick off Clutter. If organizers were looking for some sort of signal that people were looking for this type of activity on the weekends, today's turnout must have been an affirmation. I can't wait to see where this production takes us in the future.

I really wanted to go to this but was out of town for the day. I hope that they have another!
