"Buffalo is Tall Ship Friendly"
Comments
Leave a commentPretty cool. It would be a nice sight to see activity like this explode.
And what Buffalo needs is multiple year round historic ships in our harbor: LaSalles Griffon, Adm Perry's 1812 Warships, Canalboats and schooners.
Buffalo Maritime could help us a great deal in getting this financed...heck get the school kids involved with raffle tickets and bake sales.
GBNRTC has been tossing around the idea of creating a PORT AUTHORITY for the Port of Buffalo to market and promote the use of our commercial harbor facilities. When is that going to happen? Its horrible to see such wonderful port facilities go unused.
I heard the captain of the Pride of Baltimore II make exactly the same comment. He wanted to know what was responsible for the change in Buffalo's attitude toward the waterfront since their previous visit in 1989. I told him it was the Adirondack chairs.

Nice shot on the arm. Still having hard time believing that the Maritime Center is not on the waterfront-seems like such a natural synergy. Nonetheless, another example of how Beeflo is grooving....
Shot in, not "on", the arm....
